you use. what you seem to be saying is that no chemical reaction can be done at the same time. this is just not true. If you are tlaking on the scale of 10 to the negative 15 seconds, then yeah, essentially you are right, because there has to be a time difference between the stimulus and the reaction. thsis is just physics. but the amount of time that it takes to osscilate between these to functions, is so small, we speak of them as happening simulataneously. I'm not a neurosurgeon but i do have a dual major in biochemistry and biology. I was also in med school....so take it for what you will.
